VAT Price Increases

As of the 17th June 2025 we are officially registered for VAT with SARS and paying full VAT on all of our services and products (except for Embassy specific fees that they charge from their country for attestation). We are incredibly grateful to all of our customers since we launched our company for helping us grow to the point where we pay VAT and can contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s economy. Thank you!

Unfortunately very few of the government departments (like SAQA, Home Affairs or Umalusi) charge VAT and this means that we are burdened by an effective 15% tax on our services that is largely non-reclaimable. We understand that in these economically difficult times that people are struggling, especially people who are emigrating as is the case with the majority of our clients.

In addition very few of our competition in this space seem to charge or pay VAT at all, which puts us at a compertitive and pricing disadvantage, but it’s the right thing to do.

We have sat down with our suppliers and tried to cut our costs as much as we can, and are going to absorb 5%-7% of the VAT payments internally. Unfortunately it is not financially feasible for us to absorb the full 15%, which means that our prices will increase this weekend by an average of 8%-10%.

If you are a client that has been quoted our old prices by email or whatsapp before the 27th June we will honour those quoted prices until the end of July 2025. Please email us or whatsapp us if you have any questions about our pricing changes.
